  • • ”You know why you’re writing a bit more now? It’s because you’re putting more things in the ‘f*ck it’ bucket. You’re not caring so much what people think or if you’re smart enough. You’re just telling your story” That little nugget was from hubs last night and he couldn’t be more bang on. The more I put in the ‘f*ck it’ bucket, the more freer I feel. The less I care about creating for anyone else but myself, the easy it is to weave words and serve up slices of me. I’m trying to remember to share without attachment and to let it all land with and where it wants too. Just put your heart on the page Tara and let the rest take care of itself... 💕 Side Note: The new spurt of creativity could also be Greece. Greece is good for me. Greece is good for everyone.

  • • It really annoys me we only get to live moments once. And when that moment is over, all that is left is the memory. I’m terrified of forgetting the memories of the moments that make life magical. Not just the awesomely extraordinary ones but the extraordinary ORDINARY ones too. The bits in between the big deal stuff that swells up your heart so much you’re certain you’ll burst. I want to bottle up all those moments to keep in my pocket for days that feel grey. Or better yet invent a super sonic moment re-creater that would let me revisit those precious pieces of times past. But until then...I take photos with my phone and with my eyes and I try really bloody hard to hold onto the blissful bits so they don’t slip away in the quicksand that is my mind💕
  • • Days are slower now. A fairly predictable dance of diapers, feedings and naps. At first I resisted the slow, so used to the go go go of the ‘past’. I loved soaking in the satisfaction of ‘getting shit done’. But now Tilly, and the ever consuming need to NOT MiSS A MOMENT. To be present, available, and to follow her flow rather than push my agenda on her has become my priority. I have never experienced a love so ferocious as the one I have for her. And yet, still, the slow is sometimes tricky. I ache to write and create and challenge myself once again. To feel the thrill of learning something new. To write another book. How to do it all is what I’m chewing on at the moment...I don’t have an answer yet. But, I suspect, in time our slow dance will shift and we’ll find a new rhythm.

  • My main girl, creamy coffee, cute digs and no pants = one happy mama🙋🏼‍♀️ . I’ve had a tonne of DM’s asking me how goes the travel with such a wee bubachino...99.8% of the time it rocks otherwise I wouldn’t do it (except last night, last night was tough 🙈) I don’t have any #wondermama travel tips ( I’m more #wingingit) but I will say this: the most important things to pack are a sense of humour and a few cans of CHILL. You might wanna chuck in some nappies too and then just use the extra luggage space for kindness. Staying kind to her, him and me is the key to epic travel I reckon💕
